This is just water vapor (as far as I know.) I have the saturation setting on the digital at it's highest level. There are 5 levels. I find that in general the images I get from it appear washed out; it doesn't do well with large dynamic ranges. The colors are correct, but definitely more saturated than they appeared in person.
When I first moved to this area, I was struck by the amazing colors that come from our low lying clouds.
I am so used to the qualities of Kodak Select Chrome 200 ASA that dealing with the digital that can't deliver similar images is a bit distressing at times, but it situations of slight dynamic range the digital excels.
