It was definitely taken on a trip that followed the North Umpqua River to the Little River to Cavitt Creek and beyond, up to Shadow falls and, um, Other Falls. That much I have jotted down on the box of slides. I'll have to repeat the journey this year. It's getting to be time to reset and redo all these trips. But, but, but, there's still so much I haven't seen!
We'll see.

i am pretty sure that is at cavitt creek falls. ive been going up there every summer most of my life. as soon as i saw this picture, i thought "cavitt creek!" then saw the title.

Hi, thanks for verification. I was by there last spring, and although there were no leaves yet and a lot more water, I was pretty sure that was it.
It's a great spot, and Grotto Falls upstream is a favorite of mine.
