Interesting place. Must have been difficult to keep the camera dry.

The ledge was deep enough that there is some space to stand dry. I would step into the shower, snap, step back and dry the camera off. Cameras can be surprisingly resilent, I've been carrying SLRs in the rain forest for decades now without any noticeable problems. A hat with a wide brim helps, and careful attention to carrying.
You can see where I was standing in yesterday's picture - just to the right of where the upper section ends. The trail runs behind the falls. It's much wider than it appears in the photo.
