This is a great shot. They look happy.

I was pretty jazzed when I realized what I was trying to photograph. These two were in the middle of a trail turned canal. I was stepping from tuff to tuff on the side trying not to get too wet when I saw them.
But saw what? 6 feet away and under 8 inches of water, i thought it was a piece of rubber, then a newt that had been squashed by a bicycle, finally I saw there were two tails, and I waded right in.
Very slowly, of course they knew I was there if they knew anything except the matter at hand. I got about 50 shots before I got greedy and clouded the water with silt.
Thanks for checking in!
