I found it on Steamboat Creek, about 15 miles upstream from where it flows into the North Umpqua. I'm not sure it was alive, it didn't move at all for the few minutes I watched, but it didn't really look dead. The eyes are bizarre. I don't know, but it was cool!
I saw the blue tailed skink that day as well.
