Me too, this one really keeps my attention - thanks for enjoying it!
It's from a small shrub on a shady north face which has a dense bright red bloom. This one clearly has wilted. The bright red makes it a difficult flower when capturing the fine lines in the petals is my goal.
I can't find it in my references, I'll have to ask around as to what it is.

It's a Japanese Camellia, Camellia Japonica. It's native to East Asia, thrives in the shade, and blooms Fall through Spring. It has fresh blooms now.
