This is so exciting!

For some reason, I’ve been getting a lot of google images search hits for Tank Man, the great fellow who stood in front of the tanks 17 years ago at Tiananmen Square. This is the only picture on Middle-Fork which is not mine. A colleague set up the blog on his systems, and one day walked into my office and told me to try posting. This is the only picture I had on my box, and so up it went.

Since the beginning, the picture of Tinker and Gumby has led the charts, image most frequently accessed through image search engines.

Today Tank Man is vigorously contesting Gumby’s supremacy! It’s been neck and neck for an hour now - a search for Tank man! A search for Gumby! Yikes!
